The National Auto Sport Association is pleased to announce that its presence will return to the Rocky Mountains in 2006 with the addition of its newest region, "NASA Rocky Mountain".
Co-Directors, David and Revkah Balingit, who have been involved with NASA since 1995, have been selected to oversee the region operations. “We have spent the last ten years instructing, racing and officiating with NASA in other parts of the country and feel that the time is right to bring NASA to Colorado and surrounding states.” says David. “Having been the Series Director for NASA’s US Touring Car Championship, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time in many other regions, and we will bring these experiences together to build a fantastic region.”
NASA Rocky Mountain is currently searching for new local officials to join the team. "As with other NASA regions, we offer all the necessary training and benefits such as paid positions and free track time to our staff. We have openings for many positions such as on-track officials, timing, control and grid,” says Revkah. “Applications are also being accepted for qualified driving instructors.”
The region will begin running events in the spring of 2006 with four to five events at tracks such as Pueblo, Mead, and Miller Motorsports Park.
