Welcome to the LeithCars.com Track Day at Virginia International Raceway! This High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) on November 8th on VIR’s South Course will include instruction from the very best certified driving instructors from the National Auto Sport Association. This fabulous motorsports day will begin at 7:00am and finish at 5:30pm. It will be a phenomenal day of fun and education.

Which group to register for:

Register for HPDE 1 if...

·  You have 0-5 track weekends of experience.  

Register for HPDE 3 if any of these apply to you.

·  You have a competition racing license from a recognized sanctioning body

·  You have a competition Time Trial license from a recognized sanctioning body

·  You have attained "solo" status that permits passing in corners from a recognized track day organization

·  You have attained Instructor status from a recognized track day organization

***Important***

In order to provide the safest and most enjoyable experience, it is necessary for the organizers to know what type of experience you have so that we can best tailor the day. This event is for anyone that wants to have fun and one should feel very relaxed regardless of experience level. Please list all experiences you have on a road course in the "Experience" section of your personal profile. While karting and video simulators can assist a driver you need only list real world experience in a car on a road course. Spirited driving on public roads would not need to be listed.  

Membership: In order to satisfy insurance requirements, all participants must hold a National Auto Sport Association (NASA) membership. As part of your registration you will need to fill out completely a membership profile. Eligible cars: Almost any car can be driven on track. Some trucks and SUVs are eligible however it is best to check with the regional director of NASA Mid Atlantic chris@nasaracing.net to confirm if the vehicle you are wishing to drive meets the requirements. Convertibles MAY be allowed. Helmets: While we highly suggest that you provide your own helmet we do have some helmets available for rent on a limited basis (see this option below). Helmet rentals must be requested a minimum of two weeks prior to the event and please note your sizing in the section for comments to admin. Event Confirmation:  Once you register, you will immediately receive an automated confirmation receipt by e-mail which indicates you have been accepted into the event. If you do not get this receipt, you are not registered. Ten days prior to the event, you will receive further instructions and the track schedule by email for the event.   

Rain or Shine: While we love good weather track events are run rain or shine. The track may cancel the event if the weather is such that would create a dangerous situation but that occurrence is very rare. Fun on the track is fun even if it gets wet. Wet weather does not constitute a cancellation or postponement of the event and wet weather is not a valid reason for refund should one cancel after the deadline.
